WrightLiftPlanner

WrightLiftPlanner V3.0

WrightLiftPlanner V3.0 supports conventional Boom and Jib combinations.

WrightLiftPlanner V3.0 is the result of further Research and Development. The most noticeable development is the addition of a different style matrix for Jib data.

The features of previous versions have been included and in some cases have been further developed.

The menu at the right of your screen permits you to open an existing table of lift capacity data, or to create a new one by typing in the data read from a crane manufacturers data sheets.

Use New to open a blank lift matrix and start entering Boom lift data. Save the entered data as a file of type .tab, and then use Open to read it for planning a lift.

Use New Fixed Jib Table to enter Fly Jib or Jib data and save the table as a file of type .taj when complete and then use Open to read it for planning a lift.

Fixed Jib Data comprises a five (5) column table for the Boom Length, Jib Length, Jib angle, Radius and Load.

A particular cell should only be non-blank when that number changes. It is not necessary to enter rows for radius’s that are specified as the same load as a previous radius.

When entering data into the Jib matrix, enter a radius one metre LESS than the minimum radius for the applicable Boom plus shortest Jib combination. Leave the load column blank or enter a zero weight.

For each Jib extension on the same Boom length, enter the same minimum radius.

After loading the data, enter a radius one metre MORE than the maximum radius for each Boom and Jib combination and leave the load column blank or enter a zero weight. See the sample .taj charts that came with the original download.

By following this instruction, when using the interactive keys to plan a lift, a warning and a zero weight will be displayed when Booming up through the start of or down through the end of the lift table.

We suggest you print any newly entered lift capacity table and check it carefully against the original manufacturer’s data sheets.

Use Plan Lift to display an interactive graphical schematic of the lift once you have selected an appropriate lift capacity table using Open.

The Print function is available in any of the presentations to allow a hard copy to be created.

The selection of units of measurement, for ease of program development, has been reduced to metric – therefore all dimensions are metric only.

All data inputs have been expanded to accept two decimal points.

In the Plan Lift page, Boom Length has been added to the planning data boxes on the left with the provision to lock the length in. Very useful when using Lattice type Booms or Boom and Fly Jib combinations.

Click on Preferences in the menu to the right and follow prompts to enter your own logo or letter head.

WrightLiftPlanner V1.01

WrightLiftPlanner V1.01 has received some upgrade enhancements. Most upgrades are cosmetic and not visible to the eye. Most Most noticeable is the inclusion of a scaling tool which allows the line depicting the Boom to remain on the work page.
